We'd like to extend many congratulations to our good friends at True North Adventure Cruises, who this week celebrated 30 years of cruising the Kimberley Coast at a special gala event in Broome. Back in the mid 1990s, when we were making our own first forays into Kimberley cruising aboard Coral Princess (now Coral Expeditions I), True North was one of only a handful of operators working to make this incredible wilderness accessible to travellers from all around the world. Originally offering fishing charters, the True North story quickly evolved to providing expedition cruising along the coast, and now in 2017 the company has built an enviable reputation as one of Australia's most widely recognised and well loved tourism operators. Of course, while Kimberley cruises remain the company's mainstay, you can now join the True North in far-flung locations including Papua New Guinea, Raja Ampat, Indonesia, Southern Australia and even Sydney Harbour for New Year cruises. Over the past 30 years True North have been accorded many accolades and awards, a fine record which continued this week when they scored significant wins as Best Australian Adventure Experience and Best Luxury Expedition Cruise at Luxury Travel’s annual Gold List Awards.
Congratulations again to everyone at True North Adventure Cruises for 30 years of outstanding expedition cruising. We're looking forward to see what the next 30 years have in store!
