The Expeditioner Blog
Can you believe that 2017 is already drawing to a close? It’s been a really busy year for us, and we’ve loved helping so many of you plan (and come back smiling from!) your Kimberley cruises.
The 2017 Kimberley cruising season started with a bang back in April when we had a lot of clients heading off to see the Kimberley’s waterfalls straight after the one of the biggest wet seasons on record.
Some of the photos we received back afterwards were simply amazing and reminded us all what a powerful force nature really is.
The rest of the year proved just as exciting, as we had clients heading off on several different ships; from the ever-popular Coral Discoverer and Coral Expeditions I, through to the Eco Abrolhos, Kimberley Quest and True North.
It didn’t matter which ship our travellers experienced the coast on, everyone came back raving about what fantastic and life-changing cruises they had enjoyed.
And now, we’ve already well and truly turned our attention to the 2018 Kimberley cruising season, which will be firing up again in just another four months from now. As always, we’re expecting another incredibly busy year, and already some of the most well-known ships are close to sold out (call us for last minute availability!), but there’s still space throughout the season on some of the smaller gems like Kimberley Quest II, Odyssey, Eco Abrolhos and the lovely Kimberley Pearl.
So, if you’re ready to start planning your Kimberley adventure cruise give our expert team a call today on 1800 90 20 80 to discuss what’s on offer!
Indeed, just a couple of weeks ago we had a group of 12 friends charter the beautiful little Kimberley Pearl for 12 nights during 2019 – what a fantastic trip they’re going to have discovering the Horizontal Falls, King George Falls, Montgomery Reef and more. And, they will do it in complete style with private use of the ship, at a price which was surprising low compared to some other options.
There’s still some space left for charters of the Kimberley Pearl in both 2018 and 2019 – so if you’ve got a group of friends (five or six couples is ideal) why not ask us about helping you plan a private charter.
Available Spaces for Kimberley Cruises 2018 & 2019
Looking forward to 2019, sales are already well underway – particularly for the peak June and July period. It always pays to book these popular periods as early as possible, to ensure your preferred ship and room grade is available.
We were also excited by the announcement that one of the pioneers of Kimberley cruises, Coral Expeditions (formerly Coral Princess Cruises), has announced a third ship will be joining Coral Discoverer and Coral Expeditions I in their Kimberley fleet from May 2019.
The 120 passenger Coral Adventurer will be built to Coral Expeditions’ exacting standards, and has a number of exciting new features. We’ve seen really strong sales for the new ship since bookings opened a couple of months ago, with the Bridge Deck Balcony Suites (55sqm, large private balcony, there’s even an actual bath tub!) selling really fast. There’s only two on board the ship so you will need to get in early as they are proving incredibly popular.
There’s no doubt 2017 has been a very busy and rewarding year, and we’re looking forward to even bigger and better things in 2018, and beyond.
So to you, our friends and travellers, we’d like to thank you for your support over the past twelve months, and we will look forward to speaking with you all again in 2018.
In the meantime, from the team at Kimberley Cruise Specialists, we’d like to wish you and your family and friends a wonderful – and very merry – Christmas and a fantastic 2018, hopefully full of great cruise adventures on the Kimberley coast!
