Fully refurbished ahead of the 2019 Kimberley cruising season, the stylish Reef Prince is a great ‘all-rounder’ cruise. The comprehensive 11 day itinerary from Darwin to Broome (and vice versa) covers all the iconic sights with extra time for fishing.

Accommodating just 36 travellers in 18 staterooms, you may choose from four grades of accommodation, all with air-conditioning and private en suite. The heart of the ship is the light-filled dining room and lounge, which also offers spectacular views through panoramic windows while cruising. There’s also plenty of deck space so it’s always easy to find a quiet spot to sit back and relax.

Multiple expedition vessels whisk guests away in small groups to experience the Kimberley wilderness ‘up close’. And, to add yet another dimension to adventure, most cruise options feature an onboard helicopter.

Coral Adventurer

Australia’s Coral Expeditions has long been a pioneer of expedition cruising, having launched their first Kimberley cruises back in 1996. Now, they’ve welcomed a brand new expedition ship to their fleet; the state-of-the-art Coral Adventurer.

Launched in 2019, the new Coral Adventurer is 93.50 metres in length, and accommodates 120 travellers in 60 spacious Staterooms and Suites, over half with private balcony. 

The design remains true to the Coral Expeditions philosophy, and travellers will soon feel right at home aboard the Coral Adventurer. There’s twin Xplorer tenders for excursions, along with a fleet of six inflatable zodiacs. There’s also an open bridge, a light-filled Lecture Lounge and single seat dining room.

Coral Geographer

10 Nights Darwin to Broome and vice versa from $12,800pp

A sister-ship to the newly-launched Coral Adventurer, the 93.50 metre Coral Geographer commences operations in the Kimberley in May 2021. She accommodates 120 travellers in 60 spacious staterooms, over half with private balcony. There’s also six spacious Bridge Deck Suites which are sure to appeal to the most discerning travellers.

Coral Geographer’s design remains true to the Coral Expeditions philosophy. And, travellers will soon feel right at home when they step aboard. Coral Discoverer

At 35 metres in length, the Eco Abrolhos can accommodate just 32 passengers in twin share cabins with en suites on Kimberley cruises between both Darwin and Broome and Wyndham and Broome (and vice versa).

Come and explore the magnificent Kimberley with Eco Abrolhos. This expedition ship is an ideal size with its 17 en suited cabins, including six single bunk bed cabins, four king single bunk bed cabins, one double bed bunk bed cabin, two double bed staterooms and six king bed deluxe staterooms. All rooms are air-conditioned for your comfort.

Eco Abrolhos is also a great choice for single cruisers, with a low single supplement on offer in Lower Deck cabins.

Great Escape

True North II provides an intimate experience for just 22 expeditioners on her Kimberley cruises. Built in 1999, and refurbished early in 2023, True North II features a combined saloon / lounge, while the dining room offers a glamorous setting and the revered True North dining experience. Onboard, there’s also a sundeck, outdoor bar deck and a dedicated sports deck.

Five excursion tenders provide expeditioners with greater opportunity to do “what they want, when they want” and, to add yet another dimension to adventure, most itineraries feature an onboard helicopter, available to travellers at additional cost.

Kimberley Pearl

Originally built in 1979 as a pearl lugger for famed Paspaley Pearls, the Kimberley Pearl has been fully transformed into an intimate and very stylish 12 passenger cruiser offering small group explorations of the Kimberley Coast.

Six well-appointed cabins offer the ‘mod cons’ of home and feature a private en suite. The open plan living area is centred around a professional kitchen and saloon area, with an onboard chef ready to prepare the fresh ‘catch of the day’. There’s three excursion boats on hand, providing guests the opportunity to style their adventure around their own interests.

Odyssey is a custom-built 24 metre expedition vessel launched in 2006. Her advanced catamaran design ensures very quiet operation, a spacious interior and excellent stability. 

Perfect for sneaking into secluded shallow bays, she draws just 1.8 metres and accommodates just 20 guests, with six well-equipped Deluxe Double cabins and four compact Twin Cabins. Four spacious, shared toilet and shower facilities are conveniently located mid ship, close to all cabins. 

The dining area can seat all passengers comfortably, with al fresco dining also available on deck. Odyssey is equipped with the latest navigational equipment, radios, satellite communications and travels with a comfortable 12 metre excursion tender.
